Visa, Check MIG & boring stuff

📌
This section provides all the necessary legal information for entry into Colombia. Additionally, a contact directory is provided if you have further questions on this topic.

CheckMIG

One of the most important travel requirements is the Check-Mig Colombia, a digital form that all travelers must present at the border. This document is independent of the Colombian visa. The visa policy for Colombia is not the same as the Check-Mig requirements.

We recommend that you download the Check-Mig app and complete the process directly on your phone, as you must show it at the airline counter.

Procedure:

All visa applications must be made through the digital platform provided on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the corresponding requirements must be provided.

If you are outside of Colombia, you must submit your application through the digital platform of the Consular Office whose jurisdiction corresponds to your country of residence or the third country where you have a temporary or permanent residence permit.

If you are in Colombia, you must submit your application through the digital platform and select "office in Bogotá" from the options menu. This office only processes visa applications from foreigners who are in the country with regular immigration status.
