Buy a SIM card
Buying a SIM card in Colombia is quite easy. First, find the nearest Claro store. If you are in Medellín, we recommend the one in Oviedo Mall, as it is easy and fast.
Once you are in a Claro store, ask for a ‘SIM Prepago.’ If you are planning to come to Colombia often, we recommend you save both the SIM card and the associated phone number. This will allow you to recharge online using the same number in the future easily.
When buying the SIM card, ask them to include a "Plan de datos.” You will pay 30,000 COP the first time and can subsequently recharge with as little as 10,000 COP online.
Recharge online
Once you have your SIM prepago, you can go directly to the Claro prepaid page and choose the plan and amount you want to have.

Other Companies
You can use other services like Movistar, but consider that Movistar's signal is not good in remote towns like Guatapé.
