Day 1: Welcome to Salento
Morning:
- Arrival in Salento: Begin your adventure by arriving in Salento. To arrive here, you can take a plane until Armenia or Pereira (The closest cities) and then take a taxi or car until Salento (between 45 min or 1hr ride).
- Enjoy Salento: Salento is a culturally rich small town in Colombia. Here, you can find artisans, exhibitions of old jeeps, and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee.
Day 2: Cocora Valley Hike
Morning:
- Breakfast at Coco Bowl: Fuel up with a healthy breakfast.
- Cocora Valley Hike: Head to Cocora Valley for an unforgettable hike among the world's tallest wax palms. The 5-6 hour loop trail offers stunning vistas and a chance to connect with nature.We recommend you take the first right and start the hike from the right side (not from the stores and markets are situated). You will see nothing just a random way, that’s the way!
Afternoon:
- Picnic Lunch: Pack a picnic or buy some local snacks before starting the hike. Enjoy a scenic lunch in the valley surrounded by towering palms.
- Return to Salento: After the hike, return to Salento to rest and relax.
Day 3: Culture and Farewell
Morning:
- Visit El Ocaso Coffee Farm: Experience a coffee farm tour at El Ocaso, where you'll learn about coffee cultivation and processing. Enjoy a tasting session of freshly brewed coffee.
- Explore Salento's Craft Shops: Spend your afternoon shopping for souvenirs in Salento's charming craft shops. Look for handmade crafts and textiles.
